Daniel Bedoya is a digital and information security consultant at Open Briefing, with over a decade of experience investigating and responding to digital threats against civil society organisations and individuals. He has held both technical and leadership roles, from frontline incident responder to global manager and director at the world’s largest helpline service for civil society.

More recently, Daniel’s work has focused on digital forensics and threat intelligence, particularly in support of incident response efforts. He has led the development of practical resources and investigations on Android forensics, aimed at strengthening the technical capacity of civil society actors and advancing accountability for digital attacks.

Based in Costa Rica, Daniel is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and has basic working proficiency in French.
