We’re recruiting! Safety and security consultants
We are searching for safety and security consultants to provide expert and tailored security and protection advice and training to grassroots organisations and activists and their international partners to help disrupt attacks and reprisals from highly-capable and motivated adversaries. You will have a deep knowledge of security risk management, security in violent environments, duty of care, protection strategies, shrinking civic space, and state and non-state adversaries. Fostering safety and wellbeing with Haitian journalists and newsrooms
Journalists in Haiti work under incredibly dangerous conditions marked by political instability and the pervasive threat of organised criminal gangs. To address these challenges, the Fondation Connaissance et Liberté (FOKAL) asked Open Briefing to provide safety and security training to a cohort of Haitian journalists. Through co-designed workshops, our team equipped the journalists with practical skills and fostered a new security mindset. The partnership of Open Briefing’s holistic security expertise and FOKAL's country knowledge and networks formed the perfect foundation from which to navigate Haiti's volatile security environment successfully.
