As Open Briefing rapidly expands the scope and scale of its work, we are seeking to recruit exceptional, senior advisers to our voluntary advisory board.
Sitting alongside our passionate existing advisers, you will provide strategic advice and support to the CEO and senior management team. In doing so, you will fulfil some of the roles a trustee or non-executive director might, but without the legal and financial responsibilities. Your advice will shape the organisation’s direction and growth and genuinely impact the human rights defenders and other civic actors at risk that we support.
This is a voluntary, flexible role, and appointments are made for three years at a time, renewable with mutual agreement. The expected commitment is up to two hours a month of calls and emails, plus up to four three-hour meetings a year. Advisers must be based in the United Kingdom.
We particularly welcome applications from potential advisers with at least 15 years professional experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Communications and PR
- Fundraising
- Organisational development
- Legal
To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter to our executive director, Chris Abbott, at [email protected]. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
