This year has been an incredibly busy 12 months for Open Briefing.
Highlights from 2015 include:
- Publishing monthly intelligence briefings on transnational organised crime, remote-control warfare, and UK actions against Islamic State.
- Completing contracts on reducing the supply of weapons to Boko Haram, policy recommendations to the British government regarding remote-control warfare, the hostile use of drones by non-state actors, and the risk to NGO staff operating in Russia.
- Launching a new security unit to provide appropriate security and training for aid workers, human rights defenders, journalists, activists and other civil society actors working in high-risk or hostile environments.
- Recruiting three new consultants to help us expand the range of services we are able to offer our civil society clients.
We have big plans for 2016 that will help us do even more to fulfil our mission to keep those striving to make the world a better place safe and informed. But we can only achieve these things with your help. So, please consider making a donation to Open Briefing this holiday season.
Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Christmas.
Very best wishes,
Chris Abbott and the Open Briefing team
